For all the people who were questioning the logic in the movie “Thappad” with the question – “Why file for a divorce only based on one slap?” – If the never-ending list of innocent girls who either kill themselves or are murdered by husband and family do not answer your question, then there is no point in even trying to explain it to you.

Yet another day, yet another girl. Just like in poor Vismaya’s case, every one of these cases has had a history of physical and mental assault by the guy or family, that has been “compromised” by the girl’s family. If they took a stand and held her close without “compromising” after the first instance of assault, these girls would be alive today. And then they cry and ask for justice saying this has been happening for a long time. I repeat what I have written before – each and every parent who has been a part of this “dowry” and “compromising and adjusting” culture should be held equally responsible for these deaths.

P.S. Don’t even think of coming to me with your lame preaching of parents’ love for their kids as a justification for their actions.
