Where inhibitions are set free!

Author Radhika Gopakumar

My friends say I am a very hyperactive, noisy person; although my blogs might not reflect that. I blog mainly about confused feelings I get from insane reveries I have. I have to be super-depressed, super-excited or super-pissed off to write, thereby making my writing pretty much emotional (or so people tell me). There have been people who have loved me for what I write, there have also been people who have despised me for it. Whichever way, I continue to write because I believe in doing what I like, no matter what others say.

Thinking about the time when I went to a restaurant in Trivandrum and ordered a chicken fried rice without egg. The waiter came back with a vegetarian fried rice and seeing my baffled look, explained very confidently, ‘You ordered a… Continue Reading →

To Censor or Not?

A few weeks back, I saw a sudden outrage about the latest editions of Roald Dahl classics being censored to remove several objectionable words. It took me some time to read up on what exactly the issue was. And when… Continue Reading →

Funeral Photography – WTF!

Dear Pavithra, I’m Sorry

Two days back, Hari and I lost a dear friend. Along with a sense of extreme disbelief, the other feeling that grappled me was guilt. Here was a girl who was the absolute personification of positive energy and selfless love…. Continue Reading →

I removed my bracelet and put it in a tray for security check at the airport. Taaru (at the top of her lungs, in front of all the CRPF personnel, airport staff and other passengers): Amme, why did you take… Continue Reading →

Fatties and Gold Diggers – From Masters of Unfunny Jokes

When Anant Ambani got engaged recently, all of Indian social media, or at least most of them, rejoiced – not because they were happy for the couple, but because they knew they could count on the trolls to come out… Continue Reading →
