After listening to the remixed version of Humma song I had thought nothing worse could happen to AR Rahman’s music. That was until I heard AR Rahman’s music every now and then from the drawing room where a chechi from Kerala was watching Malayalam TV serials one after the other. Apparently, not one, but three different serials use none other than the legendary background score from Rang De Basanti as an accompaniment to brain-dead plots, cringe-worthy dialogues, flashy and cheap makeup and pathetic acting at a level which I had thought humanly impossible to achieve.
