Where inhibitions are set free!

Author Radhika Gopakumar

My friends say I am a very hyperactive, noisy person; although my blogs might not reflect that. I blog mainly about confused feelings I get from insane reveries I have. I have to be super-depressed, super-excited or super-pissed off to write, thereby making my writing pretty much emotional (or so people tell me). There have been people who have loved me for what I write, there have also been people who have despised me for it. Whichever way, I continue to write because I believe in doing what I like, no matter what others say.

My Super-Slow Journey of Healing

Reading through “Things Fall Apart” by Chinua Achebe as part of my curriculum during my B.A. course was when I first thought, consciously I mean, about my fear of becoming my mother, just like the protagonist Okonkwo lives his entire… Continue Reading →

Polygamy – Not a “Live and Let Live” Choice

For the last few weeks, I have been seeing posts and articles on social media about a model, described as “the guy who is publicly hated, but privately desired by every woman on the face of the earth.” Since one… Continue Reading →

Mommy Ramblings – #30

From avoiding public toilets due to my extreme, obsessive aversion towards anything yucky to getting a detailed description of my kids’ poop time efforts and end result, and a mandatory “product check” without which I am not allowed to press… Continue Reading →

Atheism – A Religion?

A few days ago, one of my friends made a statement about how in a debate between a religious person and an atheist, the atheist would always be calmer. That statement gave me the urge to write about a topic… Continue Reading →

Story of a Breakup

Two years ago, I went through a breakup. You must be wondering what the hell I am talking about since I am still very much with my husband. I broke up with one of my best friends (Hari, being the… Continue Reading →

Mommy Ramblings – #29

Of all the wonderful joys that my girls give me in life, the one that I can most certainly do without is the non-stop “Ammeeeeee Ammeeeee” from outside my toilet door. Man! Do I ever get to pee or poo… Continue Reading →

Mommy Ramblings – #28

I’ve been listening to so many of Vedu’s stories from school all week. But nothing beats this snippet from her very first day. “Amme, even though you told me that it is okay to feel sad and cry a little… Continue Reading →
